Galaxy
The galaxy is the top-level playing field — the space all players compete, trade, and navigate within.
Purpose
The galaxy divides the universe into a single, bounded game world. It gives the regions inside it a shared spatial context and defines the scale at which large-scale politics, logistics, and conflict play out.
Player Value
The galaxy is the map of the game. Understanding how it is structured — which regions exist, how they connect, and where chokepoints lie — is a foundational part of strategic play.
Control over well-positioned regions within the galaxy translates directly into political influence, economic advantage, and military leverage.
Rules
- There is exactly one galaxy in the current game scope.
- The galaxy contains all regions in the game world.
- Regions within the galaxy are connected to each other only where players have built gates between orbital systems. The galaxy provides no built-in connections between regions.
- The set of regions in the galaxy and their arrangement is defined at world setup time and does not change through normal gameplay.
Player Actions
- View the galaxy map showing all regions and the gates players have built between systems.
- Identify which regions are linked by player-built gates.
Constraints
- Players cannot create, configure, or rename the galaxy.
- The number and arrangement of regions within the galaxy is fixed at world definition time.
- Multi-galaxy support is not part of the current game scope.
